I love the water and the ships in Rotterdam. Here you see the ‘Wijnhaven’ with a charming little tower that may have been used by the harbour-master. Nowadays Rotterdam is the town with the greatest number of high buildings in The Netherlands. There still is a place for old barges, some of them have been lovingly restored.

I like the light of this photo! Did you take this one in the morning?

The light is nice indeed. But it actually was in the late afternoon on a day that did not get very clear from morning to sundown.

The lighting is very nice. Especially the reflection on the side of the ‘amstelbrouwerij’ boat.

I like this photo, too- there seems to be a peaceful, gentle atmosphere at closing time, old and new come here together, shining in the soft light of the evening- sun, reflected in the harbourwater, the elder houses and boats from former days on the right side- quite near to the observer, the modern high buildings, a little blurred, at a distance, in general an urbane atmospere with a sense of well-being!
