Last Saturday we walked from Zutphen to Deventer along the IJssel river. A beautiful hike with the river to our left most of the time, but also along the ‘tree dyke’ which dates back to the Middle Ages.
It is quite a distance and we were glad to step onto the small ferry across the river to the centre of Deventer, where we ate something and caught the train back.
