The train from Zutphen to Apeldoorn passes beautiful countryside for part of the way. Here is a view across an old meander of the IJssel, cut off from the river since many centuries, but still a considerable stretch of water.

From the train you have views you never had else- a still landscape untouched by boats and ships and people.
