The next series of photos were made in Philine’s country: last year we spent part of our holidays at Kassel, of course visiting the Documenta. This was before we were caught by a heavy shower. The sun just made the white house stand out.

This expectant, gripping atmosphere before the heavy shower is breaking out (a bit like before the beginning of a spectacle in the theatre) is wonderfully captured, self the colour of the streetline corresponds to the blue shades of the ‘wolkenluchten’. The red and the white look quite clearer and brighter than usual!

Excellent composition, with the curvy road leading right through the picture and guiding the eye to the white centerpiece.
