Another one of Amsterdam. The big building is the royal palace, formerly the town hall. Look at the Atlas statue tired of carrying the world and therefore supported by scaffolding.

This was almost in my backyard, Wim, so I walked by this spot often. But I’m not sure I ever saw the Golden Hour on it like this! It’s beautiful.

” carrying the world”- ja, dit een hard werk- en soms we zouden onze hoofden omhoogheffen om deze prachtstukken van sculpturen te beschouwen! Een fijn avondlicht opheldert de stad en haar gebouwen!

The warm bright light on the buildings seems contradicted by the gray billowy sky. The green arrow pointing toward the light source adds a whimsical touch.

Love that golden sun. Thanks for the comments Wim, I have been on holiday and then fitting a new kitchen !… have been resisting the urge to blog lately as not a lot of time available.
