Last winter we visited an exhibition where this big sculpted foot was hanging from a rope. The toe, when the foor was moving, drew patterns in the sand. Marius was allowed to play with the sand.

Looks like a fun display. The varying spirals drawn by points like this can be fascinating, though a three year old would find the plain sand enough to keep busy.
