The window of the bookshop Athenaeum on the Amsterdam Spui was dedicated to Joyce’s Ulysses because a new translation of that book was published last year.
The famous photo of Marilyn Monroe reading the last chapter is also shown.

You won’t see anything like that on Amazon.com. I like to visit small, locally owned bookstores, and I try to buy something now and then, but they are a declining breed.
