Here is the original place for the skating rink. Here the ‘Zutphense IJs Vereniging’  hopefully floods their piece of land on the edge of the town for the frost to freeze the water. Most winters it remains a small lake though. In summer a few cows and horses are grazing here: a small green enclave in the surrounding urban area.
